After President’s Trump condescending or should I say derogatory comments about some African countries, black lawmakers decided to wear Kente cloth to protest his vulgar comments. The female lawmakers also wore black in solidarity with the #TimesUp movement.

For those of you who do not know Kente is not any kind of cloth. the cloth is associated with Ashanti royalty in Ghana and has a history in West Africa, associated with the slave trade.

During the State of the Union and his failed clapback to Jay Z President’s Trump declares “Unemployment claims have hit a 45-year low,”  “And something I’m very proud of: African-American unemployment stands at the lowest rate ever recorded.” It’s very debatable as we all know that he inherited of the work of the Obama’s administration. #ThanksPresidentObama
